Purpose: This study aims to analyze the spatial configuration and operational status of infectious disease response facilities in local public health centers. It specifically investigates the discrepancies between original design intentions and actual field usage experienced during the COVID-19 pandemic. Methods: In-depth interviews and field surveys were conducted at 11 public health centers to gather practical feedback. The research categorizes facilities into three types: temporary structures, detached buildings, and internal spaces. Results: Based on the comprehensive analysis of user interviews and actual operational trends, the study establishes a categorized list of 'essential', 'optional', and 'excluded' rooms tailored to each facility type. Furthermore, standardized spatial layout models are developed for each category to address the functional gaps identified in existing facilities. Implications: This study proposes standardized spatial layout models that prioritize strict zoning to prevent cross-infection between staff and visitors. |
