Ando has been recognized and evaluated as a representative architect that overcomes the limits of Western architecture in a boundary of the architecture theory, made in the West and is on the basis of regionalism. This research's objective is to understand the main philosophical background behind Ando's architecture which tries to show the relationship between the architecture, men, and the environment that appear repeatedly in such museums, designed by Tadao, though the traditional culture of Japan and to organize the characteristics of the presentation which appears in the architecture of museum with deducing the creative architectures.With the background of the existing literature, we collected the required data to understand Tadao Ando's architecture theory and a museum and then analyzed them. We observed and analyzed elements of the presentation, showing in his works, and details via a field survey, and then we analyzed and organized characters, backgrounds, the history, and organization and characters of overall spaces about Tadao Ando's architecture though having the reference literature, a blueprint analysis, and a field survey. On the basis of these data we examined the relationship between his architectural philosophy and works, and we could get the following conclusion as a result of the research |
