The construction projects are one-time and non-repeatability and completing a project is costly. In the process of the construction process, cost estimations should be made several times over the processes, and in the early stages when there are no detailed and definite information, estimation based on brief information and attribute information is needed. However, there are lack of standard estimation method and still is limited to the square foot method. In addition, the estimates are largely dependent on the experience of project management that is not systematic. In this research, based on the analysis public apartment windows and doors work, a database framework and process for the estimation in stages before detailed design is proposed This allows the construction project management to be organic and the cost estimation to be more efficient and accurate. |
