도시의 발전과 함께 유사한 도시적 특성을 반영하며 발전한 캠퍼스의 발전양상에 대해 다루고 있으며, 특히 국제화 ? 세계화 양상으로 발전하고 있는 도시환경에 맞춰 캠퍼스 또한 국제적인 경쟁력을 강화하고, 이에 대한 방안의 하나로 국제 캠퍼스를 조성하여 연구와 학업이 적극적으로 연계되는 시스템강화를 모색하고 있다. 이에 대해 국내 대표적인 대학인 S대학과 Y대학의 국제캠퍼스 조성양상의 분석을 통해 이에 대한 시사점을 도출하고자 한다. 연구의 결론은 다음과 같다. 첫째, 쿼드, 중심공간 등 대학이 본질적으로 가지고 있는 원형적인 배치 유형을 기본적으로 확보하고 있으며, 이를 통해 대학으로서의 기본적인 환경을 조성하고 있다. 둘째, 연구기능의 강화 양상을 들 수 있다. 자체적인 연구대학으로서의 강화와 함께 지역사회, 국제 관계의 적극적인 발전방안 모색을 위해 연구기능의 강화 양상이 나타나고 있다. 셋째, 거주의 기능이 강화되고 있다. 이는 선진 해외사례에서는 일반화 되고 있는 양상으로 다수의 학생이 캠퍼스내에 머무르며 연구와 학습에 집중할 수 있는 환경조성을 목적으로 한다. 그리고 마지막으로 환경적 입지에 중요성을 두고 있다. 국내외에서 캠퍼스로 접근을 용이하게 하기위한 입지특성을 중요시하고, 모대학과의 거리 또한 고려하는 관계적 특성을 중요시하는 양상을 보인다. |

This study deals with the aspects of campus development that has been conducted along with the urban development reflecting similar urban characteristics. In particular, according to the urban environment being developed in the aspects of internationalization?globalization, the campus also reinforces its international competitiveness. As a way for this, it tries to form an international campus to grope for the reinforcement of a system in which research and study are positively connected. Therefore, this study analyzes the aspects of forming Korea’s representative universities, S University and Y University, as an international campus in order to draw implications about this. The results of this paper are as follows: first, they basically secure the types of circular arrangement such as the quad and central space which universities ultimately have. By this, they form the basic environment as a university. Second, it is about the aspect of enhancing the research function. The aspect of increasing research function is shown as one of the characteristics in order to grope for ways to develop the local community and international relationship positively along with the enhancement of their own attempt to be a research-oriented university. Third, residential function is also being increased. This is the aspect being generalized in overseas advanced cases, and the purpose is to form an environment to make a number of students stay in the campus and focus on research and learning. And lastly, the focus is on environmental location. They value the characteristics of location for the better access to the campus from the inside and outside of Korea, and they also emphasize relational characteristics considering the distance from the mother university. |
