¿ä¾à2 Laser Scanning technology was applied to the restoration process for the cultural properties, and in the plant industry in the early stage. Although, modeling with Point Cloud created by Laser Scanning was possible, it was insufficient to create a useful result due to the limited use of data. Recently, as BIM technology advanced, it features 1) faster modeling, and 2)easier analysis of Point Cloud by connecting BIM application to actual laser measurement and Scanned data. In this paper, I'd like to introduce BIMm solution, a new and innovative measurement system that can easily obtain an accurate and efficient 3D modeling result by an expert or non-expert. BIMm stands for Building Information Modeling measurement; simply meaning a measurement solution for BIM. It consists of Flexijet4BIMm and PointsBIMm. Flexijet4BIMm is the DIY(Do It Yourself) laser measurement system that allows simultaneous performance of real-time modeling and measurement. It is the easiest way for reverse engineering of existing building, and it is easy to operate. Points4BIMm is the perfect software to handle the Point Cloud which is the laser 3D scan data, and it is also a solution that can make the 3D modeling quickly and efficiently by connecting BIM application. Nowadays, Laser Scanning is used for civil engineering, and remodeling modern architecture as well. The fusion of BIM with laser measurement and scanning technology is a good method to increase the synergistic effect on utilization of BIM; it is expected to increase the field of application to renovation, extension, and maintenance of existing buildings, and construction of BIM information for checking the quality of new buildings.
