The purpose of this study is to identify the eco-friendly technical elements to be considered in the planning of exhibition facilities in Korea by comparing findings from precedent researches on the environment-friendly elements used in the selected exhibition facilities in Japan and those practiced in multi-unit housing projects in Korea. 44 technical elements from Korean researches were compared with 29 Japanese list from 8 CASBEE-approved projects' technical elements. This study found the most frequently used technical elements as a result of the comparison; 1) maximum use of natural light, 2) utilizing topography and micro-climate of site, 3) natural ventilation, 4) energy-efficient selection of active systems. |
