A study on unification of new and old concrete using nano-slag and alkali activator in order to process technology to strengthen laitance from simply spreading nano-slag and an alkali stimulus one time as technologies that there is no limit in a construction period, relative difficulty and increase of personnel expenses are low, and effective treatment on laitance is possible, the study obtained the next conclusion from the result of processing dynamic consideration of characteristics by kind of the alkali activator, consideration of dynamic characteristics by kind of the produced reinforcing agents, physicochemical analysis, freshwater test, and economic feasibility analysis. 1. As stated in concrete standard specifications of the Ministry of Land, Transport and Maritime Affairs and professional specifications of LH, laitance is needed additional measures such as physical removal like iron-brushing or chipping; or enough absorption of moisture in all conditions of horizontal construction joint and vertical construction joint. 2. For laitance, it is not that fine particle parts in cement cohere with the floating of bleeding water together, but that high pH values are presented due to Ca(OH)2 eluted from concrete with liquid components of cement paste. These components are predicted to be possible in the leading of chemical reaction through this technology. 3. Nano-slag exerts basic properties of blast furnace slag which is produced a lot of in Korea. Plus, it takes colloid shapes under the water-existing environment along with surface-area effect and capillarity effect. It is judged that penetration into pore parts is advantageous. |
