The purpose of this study was to provide an analyzed data of the narrow houses including the similarities and differences, based on the examples in Korea and Japan, in the perception of the increasing needs of narrow housing spatial analysis due to its growth in demand. The data used for the study of narrow housing spatial analysis were gathered through related publications and internet, and program R and microsoft excel were used for the analysis. In the study the research problems were separated into two main parts and analyzed: 1) What is the percentile of each occupied space? What is the difference of spatial occupied percentile between the narrow houses in Korea and Japan? 2) How is the connection between spaces? What is the difference of the spatial connection between the narrow houses in Korea and Japan? Research problem 1 and 2 were commonly based on the analysis of the floor plans. Research problem 1 was analyzed through microsoft excel, and research problem 2 was analyzed through program R and excel. |
