(연구배경 및 목적) 본 연구는 어린이 발달과 행태 특성과 공간 요소의 관계를 이해하고 그 특징을 파악하는 것을 중심으로 하고자 한다. 어린이의 물리적 환경에 따른 요구도 갈수록 높아지고 있다. 어린이 이용자에게 적합한 도서관 구성의 방법론을 이해하고, 분석하여 향후 어린이 도서관의 계획적 지침을 추출함으로써 어린이의 행태 특성에 맞는 공간 디자인 방향을 제시하는 것을 주된 목적으로 한다. (연구방법) 본 연구에서는 어린이 도서관의 이용자에게 보다 나은 환경을 조성하기 위하여 이론적 고찰과 기적의 도서관을 중심으로 국내 사례를 살펴보았다. 문헌연구를 통해 어린이발달과 행태에 대한 이론들을 조사하여 공간적 요구 사항들과 관계를 파악하고, 도서관에서 요구되는 다양한 디자인 요소를 분석 도구로 이용하여 디자인 요소의 유효성을 검증한다. (결과) 어린이 도서관의 공간 계획에 있어서 어린이 발달요소와 행태 특성에 맞는 공간 구성별 디자인 요소의 관계성을 파악하여 더욱 구체적이고 다양한 공간 계획을 할 필요성이 있다. |

(Background and Purposes) This study sheds light on the relationship between space and the developmental and behavioral features of children. More specifically, it aims to articulate how children's behaviors and child development can be applied in designing spaces. Given that the need for physical environments targeting children (in spatial design) has intensified, this research suggests directions for the design of children's libraries. It accomplishes this by clearly understanding and analyzing how to design a "children's library" exclusively tailored to young visitors. (Method) The theoretical background of child development and behavior is explored first through a comprehensive literature review. Then, how child development and behavior relate to space requirements is investigated. Several library design factors are used as analytical tools to examine the usefulness of those factors. A case study conducted in Korea ("Miraculous Library") is also discussed. (Results) When designing a children's library, relating child development and behavioral features with design factors is significant. Based on these relations, more varied and detailed space plans should be considered. |
