2015년 12월에 호주의 Wagners사가 건설한 Brisbane West Wellcamp Airport와 퀸즈랜드 대학교의 Global Change Institute 건물을 방문하여 상용화 현황을 둘러보았다. 높은 강도와 내구성이 요구되는 구조용 콘크리트로서 지오폴리머를 대량으로 사용하여 상업용 공항을 건설하여 시멘트 콘크리트와 비교하여 결코 뒤지지 않는 시공성과 기술성, 안정성을 달성할 수 있다는 것을 대규모 공사를 통해 증명했다는 점에서 매우 주목할 만한 성과라 하겠다. Wagners를 통해 호주에서 지오폴리머 콘크리트의 상용화는 더욱 본격적으로 진행되고 있다. |

Last December, a visit to BWWA and GCI was made to grasp the current situation of commercial scale geopolymer concrete production in Australia. It is notable that Wagners successfully constructed a commercial airport with structural geopolymer concrete satisfying the required performance, durability and safety for conventional cement concrete. Wagners is making meaningful progress in accelerating the commercializaion of geopolymer technology in Australia. |
