Waste concrete occupying over 50% of 67 million tons of construction wastes generated annually are produced as recycled aggregate. And yet, it is not utilized in various ways, but used for low added value like simple landfill, and this is generally because of the lowered quality of recycled aggregate and the spread of recognition that it is low quality aggregate. However, as the phenomenon of the scarcity of natural aggregate and the utilization of solid wastes as available resources come to the fore, it is necessary to conserve the national land and get the effect of the recycling of available resources through appropriate recycling. This study would draw the verification of stability through the cases of construction at five sites applying recycled aggregate concrete using 100% recycled aggregate and one site applying asphalt concrete. |
