The number of population residing in schools in Korea is about 10 million in kindergartens, elementary and junior high schools and universities. It accounts for 20% of the population, and school safety is an important aspect of national security. However, it is the time when crime prevention environment design, that is, the importance of CPTED, is increasing due to threats to various crimes that have traditionally been regarded as safe spaces. It is a fact that the evaluation of the crime safety environment of Korea school has a history of only a few years since it was implemented and evaluated in earnest centering on several indicators and design guides. The purpose of this study is to compare four CPTED evaluation tools in Korea and the United States in order to improve the CPTED evaluation tools in elementary and junior high schools in Korea. By comparing the characteristics of the evaluation indicators in Korea and the United States through comparison, we have found out the difference from the purpose of the evaluation tool to the scope of the evaluation index. In addition, the results of the evaluation are not linked to the improvement of the environment or policy, and the concept of the CPTED evaluation system based on the crisis management was introduced by introducing the ISO 3000 crisis management concept to improve it. |
