BIM technology is being actively studied mainly on visualization, 2D drawing documentation, and analysis / simulation for the applied in domestic construction process. However, the application range of BIM-based quantity and cost calculation is not available for all construction types of Work. In this study, we analyze commercial programs related to quantity and quotation calculation which is currently being used, and derive necessary conditions for applying to domestic construction environment. In addition, I will suggest the desirable direction for developing the BIM-based quantity calculation program that can reflect the experience of BIM engineer who perform the estimates and can be systematically linked with commercial BIM authoring tools. |
