In this study, the characteristics of single-person households, including financial characteristics, and their corresponding housing satisfaction were analyzed. The characteristics of single households were analyzed by age group (young, middle-aged, and elderly). In addition, factors affecting their housing satisfaction were analyzed. The analysis results are as follows: Regarding the monthly income and household balance, a higher proportion of real estate assets was associated with increased housing satisfaction. There was also a relationship between age, education, and family. In the middle-aged group, higher age, education, monthly ordinary income, monthly housing cost ratio, and real estate asset ratio were associated with lower housing satisfaction. The older one¡¯s spouse was, the higher their level of housing satisfaction. In addition, as age increased, the monthly housing cost ratio increased, and the proportion of people living in apartments decreased. Based on these analysis results, the following policy implications are highlighted: For young people, rental housing should be prepared to reduce the burden of housing costs and to expand policy and financial policies. For middle-aged people, policies should be prepared to solve expenditure expansion along with aging preparations on the connection line. For elderly people, a supply policy should be prepared in the form of residential and convenient liquidation along with the realization of liquidity to alleviate restrictions on cash flow. |
