¿ä¾à2 (Background and Purpose) With the advent of the digital information age, the modern society has adopted a new style in terms of spatial perception. The background of this study lies in 2022 when the Ministry of Culture¡¯s culture and arts activity survey and the National Leisure Activity survey were confirmed, and thereafter, the basis for the difference in preference space by age group was determined. Therefore, the purpose of this study is to reveal the relationship between the digital environment experience and the difference in preference space between the baby boomers (generation born between 1955 and 1963) and the MZ generation (generation including Generation M born between 1980 and 1994 and Generation Z born between 1995 and 2005). (Method) This study focuses on research and literature research to reveal the relationship between generational digital environment experiences and differences in spatial preferences. The study scope encompasses the baby boomers and the MZ generation, who have the largest digital environment experience gap. The research method examines the manner of use of digital tools for spatial visits, identifying the characteristics of the baby boomers and the MZ generation and the differences regarding digital acceptance. The preferred space of the two generations is analyzed from the perspective of Pierre Bourdieu Avitus based on the preferred space data by age. Thereafter, the relationship between spatial preference and digital environment experience by generation is revealed. (Results) During the growth period of the MZ generation, digital culture became common, providing this generation greater exposure to the digital rather than the analog culture. The digital experience Avitus acquired during the growth period forms a habit of subconsciously remaining in the existing environment. This propensity manifests as visiting various spaces using digital information. Conversely, the baby boomers' Avitus is formed by the analog culture. This manifests as visiting a familiar space without subconsciously using digital information in a dynamic digital society. (Conclusions) A study of the preferred spaces of the baby boomers and the MZ generation and the digital utilization characteristics of each generation from the perspective of the Avitus theory revealed the manner in which the two generations visit spaces. The baby boomers who prefer familiar spaces and the MZ generation who experience various spaces differ in terms of their preferred spaces because of the influence of different Avitus. Consequently, the difference in digital environment experience and spatial preference is related from the perspective of Avitus.
