(연구 배경 및 목적) 도시는 많은 이점들 때문에 사람들이 모여들어 팽창하였고 그 속도가 예전보다 가속화되었으며, 앞으로 이러한 도시화의 속도는 점점 빨라질 것이다. 하지만 이러한 급속한 도시 팽창은 많은 문제를 일으켰고 지속적인 위기를 맞이한다. 위기의 이유는 다양하지만 그중 구성원들의 공통된 인식으로 만들어진 현대의 신화를 분석하고, 신화의 의미작용으로 발생한 도시의 문제점을 찾는다. 그리고 이러한 문제를 해결하기 위한 공간 형태의 원형을 발굴하여 공간 특성을 제시하는 것을 목적으로 한다. (연구 방법) 먼저 이론적 범위는 롤랑 바르트의 현대의 신화를 중심으로 한다. 이를 바탕으로 현대의 신화가 사회현상을 분석하는 방식을 차용하여 도시에 사는 시민들이 믿고 있는 현대의 신화의 의미작용에 대해 밝혀내고 신화에 담겨있는 내포의미를 해석한다. 이후 현대의 신화에 영향을 받은 도시 현상들을 분석하고 문제점을 파악한 후, 탈신화를 위한 공간인식을 정의한다. 탈신화 된 공간 형태의 원형을 조사하기 위해 서울에 있는 연남동, 송정동, 홍은동, 신림동, 남가좌동 등 총 5곳의 사례들을 조사하고 그곳에서 발견한 공간원형과 그 특징을 제시한다. (결과) 한국의 거주 인식에 자리 잡고 있는 현대의 신화는 부동산으로 인한 부의 축적이 삶을 풍요롭게 만들 것이라는 인식이다. 이런 인식을 바탕으로 도시화를 진행한 결과 지역적 콘텍스트의 소멸로 나타나는 문화의존 현상, 도시가 휴먼스케일에서 오토스케일로 변화하면서 생긴 인간소외, 지속적인 재개발로 인해 인구가 재배치되며 발생하는 비자발적 노마드화 같은 문제를 일으켰다. 결국, 현대의 신화로 인해 드러난 내포의미는 도시가 발전하기 위해 개개인의 효용성에 대해 가치평가를 하고 있으며 이러한 가치평가로 거주지의 재배치가 일어나고 있다는 것이다. 신화에 기반한 거주 인식으로 만들어진 도시의 한계점은, 인간이 정주할 수 없는 생태계로 유지되는 것이며 이는 고향을 상실한 불완전한 거주상태가 계속된다는 것이다. (결론) 이런 문제 인식을 해결하기 위해 융이 이야기한 집단 무의식 속 원형 중 공간원형의 형태를 띤 공간들을 찾고 그 원형적 요소를 알아보려고 하는데, 원형의 중요한 요소 중 하나는 정주와 유동성이 상호 교환되는 지점이다. 이러한 공간 형태를 염두에 두고 서울에서 발견할 수 있는 공간구조의 원형 5곳을 관찰하였으며, 쓰임을 규정하지 않음으로써 공유지의 본래 가치를 회복하는‘공유지의 탈 목적성’, 생활권역이 형성되기 위해서는 경계 지을 수 있는 마을의 구분이 필요한‘종착지로서의 막다른 골목’, 마을의 콘텍스트를 유지하기 위해 상권의 연속적 흐름을 유지해야 하는‘문화권역으로서의 중앙도로’, 사적 공간들의 중첩이 더 많은 공간활용도를 가질 수 있는‘지역민들 간의 영역공유’, 사유지를 개방하여 도시를 연결하는 흐름을 만든‘개방된 관문’ 등 5가지의 공간원형 특성을 발견하였다. |

(Background and Purpose) Living in cities has many advantages, such as access to better social amenities and infrastructure. Therefore, urbanization has rapidly expanded worldwide, and the pace of urbanization is expected to further increase in the future. However, rapid urban expansion has many limitations as well, and it is experiencing a crisis. Among the various causes of the crisis, we analyze the myths created by the common perceptions of members and explore urban issues arising in the sense of myths. To address these issues, we intend to identify spatial archetypes and present spatial characteristics. (Method) First, the Mythologies of Roland Barthes constitute the theoretical scope of this study. By analyzing the social phenomena of these myths, we reveal the meanings of myths believed by city dwellers and interpret their implications. After analyzing the urban phenomena affected by the myths, we identify the relevant issues and define the spatial perceptions to demystify. To understand the archetype of the demystified space, we investigate five cases of Seoul, and present the spatial archetype identified and its characteristics. (Results) The myth established in Korea's view of life is that wealth accumulation through real estate enriches life. Consequent urbanization caused challenges such as cultural dependence due to the disappearance of local contexts, human alienation due to the change of cities from human scale to auto scale, and involuntary nomadization caused by population relocation due to continuous redevelopment. The implication of modern myths is that the city values individual utility for development, and this valuation causes residence relocation. The limitation of a city created by the perception of residence based on myth is that it is maintained as an ecosystem where humans cannot settle down. It remains an incomplete state of residence, bereft of the feel of the hometown. (Conclusions) To address this problem perception, we attempt to identify spaces in the form of archetype spaces in the group unconsciousness that Jung discussed, and attempt to ascertain their elements. A key element of the archetype is the point at which settlement and movement interchange. Based on this spatial shape, we identify five archetypes of spatial structures in Seoul and observe the cases. 1. De-purpose of public land 2. Dead-end alley as a destination. 3. Central road as a cultural area. 4. Area-sharing among local residents. 5. Open gateway. A total of five demystified space characteristics are identified. |
