The increasing volume of building dismantlement projects necessitates advanced management approaches to ensure safety compliance and operational efficiency. This research examines the direction of development for integrated digital management systems and services in building dismantlement processes, through an empirical analysis of current municipal practices and technological requirements. A mixed-methods approach was employed, incorporating comprehensive surveys and interviews with local government officials responsible for dismantlement oversight and safety regulation. The study identifies critical gaps in existing dismantlement protocols and a substantial demand for digital integration across the dismantlement process. Key findings highlight the need for systems that support accurate on-site data acquisition, standardized plan generation, and systematic review procedures. Based on these findings, the research outlines functional requirements for digital services that integrate on-site data acquisition technologies with semi-automated planning and review tools. These services enable local authorities to leverage digitalized building data and automated plan validation for more effective risk management during dismantlement operations. The research contributes to the construction management literature by presenting a systematic approach to the dismantlement process digitalization and defining functional requirements for automated planning systems. The proposed direction offers practical solutions for municipalities aiming to enhance safety management efficiency while maintaining rigorous regulatory oversight. |
